Math Manipulative Links

Here are the links for some of the math manipulatives that I’ve posted about on Instagram/Facebook. For full transparency, these are affiliate links – meaning that if you order through these links, I will receive a small commission. However, I never post about anything that I don’t love 🙂

Fraction manipulatives

I love these two sets for making fractions more visual. My daughter and I have been using them to visualize adding and subtracting fractions. We use the manipulatives, and then draw a representation on our whiteboard.

2-D and 3-D Shapes set:

This has been a fun set to use for building shapes! If you’re looking for a DIY option, you can do this same activity with mini marshmallows and toothpicks, but I like the cards that come along with this set. My kids have enjoyed creating the shapes on the cards, but even better they’ve enjoyed creating their own shapes. 🙂

Base Ten Blocks

We use base ten blocks ALL the time! They are a wonderful tool for representing numbers and making them more visual. I made a video about a DIY option (watch it HERE), but if you’d like the real thing, here’s a link to the set that I have:

Unifix Cubes

I find these really handy for counting, as well as making groups for multiplication. We have also recently used them to make division more visual. For example, we start with 40 blocks, and then divide them into 5 equal groups to figure out how many would be in each group. I don’t use these as much as the base tens, but they are nice to have.

Rekenrek

This is my absolute favorite math tool. My youngest daughter and I use it ALL the time for addition and subtraction. I find that out of all of the math manipulatives that I have, this is the one that she gravitates to most. I also use it with my older kids to make multiplication concepts more visual. I highly recommend using a rekenrek with your students!
